Artist's Comments

This is a drawing that has been wetted and ragged, rather than watercolour - all inkiness comes from the actual drawing itself and wasn't added after the mist of water had been applied.

:kitty:Out of all the things that a kitty has brought me, the best was a full carrion crow, maggots and all dragged through the cat flap and left at the bottom of the stairs for me to find at 8am ... maybe Dibble thought I'd like it for breakfast ...:shrug: .. I remember he looked very pleased with himself!

This is part one of the 'Inky Kitty' series...

:lmao: Mine have brought me frogs (and pieces of frogs), shrews, a humongous rat, some big huge weird field bird with a really long beak, mice (one of which was deposited into bed with me)...I can't count the mornings I've woken up to the hallway being full of feathers :D Sometimes I wish they'd show their love by bringing me bouqets of daisies or something! At least none of mine had maggots in them yet :bleh:

Our cat would get really mad when we'd throw the gift back out in the yard. I guess she wanted a baby bunny milkshake :giggle:

.... I used to know a wonderful lady who had 3 cats, she had a HUGE real phobia of worms, and it was the only thing her cats would bring home!!!:lol: A few times they left them on the doorstep and she had to phone her sons to come home from work and move the thing so she could leave the house!! ... I think the reaction to the worms was mis-read by her kitties as excitment and they just kept bringing them - I found one down the back of her leather sofa....:faint:
